Benzoin Resinoid Essential Oil, also known as Gum Benjamin, is derived from the resin ofStyrax benzointree, which can grow up to 8 meters (20 feet) in height. Originating in India, the process of extracting Benzoin Resinoid begins with making deep incisions in the tree trunk, allowing the grayish sap to exude and harden into a resinous lump. Once the resin becomes hard and brittle, it is meticulously collected from the bark, cleaned, and processed through solvent extraction to yield a thick, rich oil.

Renowned for its traditional use in incense and perfumery, Benzoin Resinoid Essential Oil offers a warm, balsamic fragrance that enhances a variety of aromatic applications. For optimal use, we recommend placing the bottle in a hot water bath, changing the water frequently until the oil returns to a liquid state. Gently agitate the bottle before use to ensure the oil is well-mixed and ready to infuse your formulations with its unique, soothing qualities.

DIRECTIONS & SUGGESTED USAGE

• Facial Cleansers: Incorporate Benzoin Resinoid Essential Oil at a concentration of 0.5-1% into facial cleansers to enhance your formula's astringent and hydrating properties.

• Rich Moisturizers: For face and body moisturizers, a 1-2% concentration of Benzoin Resinoid Essential Oil is recommended to help maintain skin softness and prevent dryness.

• Shampoos and Conditioners: Include Benzoin Resinoid Essential Oil at 1-2% in shampoo and conditioner formulations to enhance moisture retention and improve scalp health. This can contribute to a cleaner, more balanced scalp while adding a pleasant fragrance to the product.

• Scalp Treatments: Add Benzoin Resinoid at 1-3% to scalp treatments to alleviate dryness and irritation while promoting a healthier scalp environment.
